Back but barely alive.

Darren's belated birthday party was celebrated at "Secret Garden" last Saturday. Basically, we (Hong yi, Kenneth, Leon, Yee Seng and Geryll) were supposed to meet at Plaza Singapura at 3.30pm, and apparently only Hong Yi turned up on time. So stupid naive.

Hong Yi, next time when you meet F4, and when they say meeting time is at 3.30pm, it means that you leave your house at 3.30pm, and chances of you going there and scold somebody for being late will still be pretty high, yea? So, I reached PS at 5.50pm, and surprisingly, I wasn't the latest. Geryll arrived at 6.30pm, and this means that Hong yi waited 3 and 1/2 hours for us. Song bo?

So, from P.S, we went to 7-11 to get Darren an Absolute Vodka before heading down to Secret Garden, located at Bugis, opposite Fortune Centre.

The place is OMGodly beautiful. The place was dimly litted, and if there's 1 word to describe it, it would be "Romantic".

Not forgetting that Darren invited his female childhood friends over, and in my opinion, girls never looked anymore prettier. Why they don't make girls like that in Ngee Ann? :(

The girls were dressed beautifully, and the guys was just.. sad. Only Leon wore a coat, which he took off cause it was rather hot, and Yee Seng wore his long sleeve shirt, buttoned it up all the way, without a tie, making him look more like an idiot.

Top row: Leon, Jason, Cutie Pie, Hongyi, Yee Seng, Natasha

Bottom Row: Eng How, Elephant, Darren, Kenneth, Yanyi

Wait, where's Geryll? And notice Hong Yi blushing maroon from his face? That because it was Tiffany who was taking the picture. Nah, just joking, its because he flushes when he drinks.

Dinner was served at around 8.15pm, and the first dish was French onion soup, if I remember correctly. Then came salad, followed by chicken and then seafood. All in all, very delicious, very nice.

The funny thing though, was that Yee Seng tried acting suave and joined the girls' table, hoping to get fresh with them, and Tiffany, who sat next to Yee Seng turned her back at him, literally. She turned her chair to an adjacent angle so that the back of her head was facing Yee Seng. Song bo Yee Seng?

Everybody, say hi to.. er I think her name's Janice. She's the one standing on the extreme left, beside Yee Seng.

She's a very knowledgeable person, and she's very fun to talk to. I think she travels a lot, cus she knows a lot of countries that I don't. Very witty too. I call her "Burden" cause we had to make a detour to Ikea to drop her off. :D

All in all, I enjoyed myself thoroughly that night. Special thanks to Darren for the invitation, you've been a great host, and everything was wonderful. Ask the girls what they think about the party and they'll show you this:

BIG SMILE!

Alrighty! Shall stop here, its been a pretty hectic day, damn tired.

Picture of the Day!

PS: I also found a joke that I find amusing, so here goes:

One day, naughty Peter drew a penis on the whiteboard. The teacher saw, and wiped the whiteboard off angrily..The next day, Peter drew a bigger penis, and beside it, he wrote "THE MORE U RUB IT, THE BIGGER IT GETS."

Free

This picture means alot to me, cause when I clicked the shutters, she gave my hand a tiny squeeze, something she hasn't done, for a very long time..

This shall be the last entry on my grandmother, because I believe she has moved on, and so should I.

I did something funny on the last night of the wake. I actually called up Macdonald's delivery service and ordered 2 apple pies. One for me, and 1 for grandma. I remember that she used to love it. It was the last thing that I can do for her, before she's cremated..

Cremation was done at Bright Hill Mountain yesterday, and her ashes was moved to the temple where my grandfather was, right next to him. I am still sad for the departure of grandma, but I feel happy for her, now that she's free from needles and bitter medicines, and I believe she's reunited with my grandfather now.

I feel deeply at ease too, because I have told her everything I should hours before she passed away. I even told her about 2 sao. At least I'm not among those guilty cousins who rarely goes to Grandma's place on Saturdays, and cried out that they have so much to say to her, but never got the chance to.

Goodbye Grandma. I love you and I always will!

My Grandmother

This entry will be dedicated to someone special. This entry is for you, Grandma.

This is my grandmother.

I remember when I was way younger, around the age of 8 or so, I was notorious. I would skip tuition (at Mavis Tuition Centre), and spend my time in the arcades. My brother and I would take turns, stealing money from my grandmother's purse and squander it all on arcade games.

Naturally, my grandmother knew it was us who did it, owing to the fact that we were living under the same roof, and that she caught me red-handed once. But the thing that touched me, right up to this very moment as I type, is that when the principal of Mavis actually rang up my mother and told her I was skipping class, not only did grandma not rat on me for stealing her money, but she shielded me from my mom's caning.

Back then, my mom didn't use the cane anymore because either it kept on disappearing for no reason *cough*, or it wore out so fast due to the constant beatings.

I can still remember the day grandma shielded me from a crazy woman whom I call "Mom", from the constant beatings with a coat hanger because my chinese teacher called her and told her I cheated in "ting xie". I still remember the grimace on Grandma's face when the rod landed on her flash, and thats when I truely understand the term "it hurts on the inside".

My grandma is by far the most generous person I've ever seen. Every Chinese New Year without fail, she will wake up early just to make sure that the rubbish collecting people gets an Ang Pow from her, and whenever we took a cab, she'll strike up a conversation with the cabby, and most of the time, the last thing she says to the driver will not be "bye", but "keep the change".

Speaking of Chinese New Year, grandma will spend quite a lum sum preparing for the event. Though she has never said it before, but I believe that family bonding means very much to her ever since her husband, my grandfather passed away in 1993. So, on the first day of Chinese New Year till the forth day, the dining table will be heavily laden with all sorts of delicacies ranging from abalones to century eggs.

But then things took a turn for the worst when she had a bad fall about 3 years back. She could no longer walk properly without the aid of a walking stick, she couldn't string a sentence together properly and couldn't remember some things or place that took place in the past.

Things kept going downhill, and she has to be sent to Tan Tock Seng hospital for various reasons. I visited her regularly, and sad to say, she's not getting better. I took a good hard look at her last night and realised how fray looking she has becomed.

I saw her ear. It was shrivelled up

.

I remember her telling me that big and thick earlobes would bring fortune, and she would always happily show off hers to me. It just struck me.. she's not going to be able to do that anymore..

I received a call just now at Darren's house from my Mom. Apparently, my relatives are going to bring her home, to let her spend whatever time left she has left there. They believe its her wish, because its a place she calls home, it means alot to her, and the house contains memories non other can steal.

The doctor has warned all of us that she has around 48 hours left, and so parden me if I behave like an asshole next week. Im going down to the hospital now, to tell grandma all the things I haven did, and tell her that I'm no longer what and who I used to be.

This is my grandma.

Her name is Choo Siew Poh, and I love her.
